🎯 How we use impact solutions to benefit girls and women in Ndiaganiao, Senegal (Episode 8)🌱

In Soussoum (commune of Ndiaganiao, Senegal), it took international solidarity, a lot of engineering and hard work, and a warm welcome to give the girls and women of the village a chance to improve their lives thanks to our Walalma Solar Service Center. 👏🏾

After a first trip, the members of the Argonne-Manengouba Association returned to Soussoum to participate in the project.

The Argonne-Manengouba Association, like many other international solidarity associations, is an example of what large NGOs and international projects should do, and what should be more than enough to help us develop our countries in peace.

This association raises funds throughout the year by organizing numerous cultural activities. It is made up of 100% volunteers, and all of its operating expenses are covered by these same volunteers. In other words, at the risk of shocking our civil servants, the members of this association pay for their own gas, their own plane tickets, and their own expenses for staying with us! 😉

Their approach is simple: they go into the field, identify communities in need, and then seek out locally available technologies and companies with reputations and track records that speak for themselves. ✔

They then put together applications for funding to supplement the funds they collect in their villages in the #ardennes. For this project in Soussoum, the French NGO La Guilde and its initiative L'Agence des Micro-Projets provided additional funding of 10,000 euros or 6,500,000 CFA francs. ✍🏾

So it was during their 2nd trip that a small delegation from the association came to lend a hand to our Nadji.Bi Senegal team to finish the site and take part in a set-setal (environmental clean-up) operation around the Walalma service center. 🧹🗑️

An opportunity for Brigitte, Pascale, Françis, Michel and the villagers to meet, discover and exchange ideas. 👐🏾

If you are also a member of a solidarity association and would like to help Senegalese girls and women to live a better life, please contact us 👍

💡 Thanks to our solar and sustainable solution, #madeinsenegal 🌞
