👷🏾‍♀️ How we use effective solutions to impact girls and women in Ndiaganiao, Senegal (Episode 4) 🛠

🏗️ In Soussoum (commune of Ndiaganiao in Senegal), we discovered an abandoned building where an old, broken-down millet mill was gathering dust. 🧹

Our project, as you can imagine, was to bring this building up to standard so that it could house a number of effective solutions for the women of the village: a millet milling machine, a millet hulling machine, a refrigerator, a freezer, a charging cabinet for electrical appliances, and so on. ⚡

This time, it was the French Association Argonne-Manengouba that kindly agreed to help us financially, thanks in particular to a grant from the Agence des Micro-Projets of the NGO La Guilde.

Work on the site has now begun:

- Window modifications,

- Door openings and closures, with the installation of aluminum frames for improved airtightness and durability,

- Electrification of the building (cable trays, installation of single and three-phase sockets, indoor and outdoor switches and lights, etc.),

- Waterproofing of the terrace,

- Installation of floor and wall tiles,

Under Elhadji Demba Sene's supervision and thanks to the technical expertise of Atabou Sonko and all the Nadji.Bi Sénégal teams, everything went smoothly and we were ready for the next step: the installation of the solar panels.

A few more steps and our Walalma service center for rural women would be up and running.

💡 Looking ahead, a solar and sustainable solution, #MadeinSenegal 🌞

Stay tuned for the rest of this great story #Walalma 🚀
